According to its founder Dr. Andrew Weil, people have shown significant changes with twice a day practices extending for two to 3 months. Instructions to perform 4 7 8 breathing.

  • Position the tip of your tongue on soft tissue behind front teeth row of upper jaw.
  • Exhale through mouth.
  • Inhale through nose counting to 4.
  • Hold the breath for 7 counts.
  • Exhale through mouth making a whooshing sound for 8 counts.
  • Repeat the cycle for 4 rounds. 

Relaxing breath should be practiced at-least twice a day for 2 - 3 months for better results 

 

It was advised for beginners to never exceed 4 cycles and you could practice up-to maximum 8 cycles when you are trained.
