About Us

Techinmedicine is an online resource made to provide comprehensive information on the science associated with medical laboratory work. This website offers resources and information to help healthcare professionals, researchers, and students understand the basics of medical laboratory science.

Medical laboratory scientists (MLS) are essential members of the health care team and are responsible for performing laboratory tests that are essential for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. MLS professionals use their knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, toxicology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, hematology, and immunology to diagnose and treat diseases. MLS professionals are responsible for collecting and analyzing specimens, interpreting results, and reporting their findings to physicians and other healthcare professionals. This website aims to provide comprehensive information on the science and diseases associated with medical laboratory work. It includes information on the principles and theories of laboratory testing, and the impact of laboratory science on patient care.

About the author

I'm Chandana Gihan Perera, a third year Medical Laboratory Science undergraduate from Sri Lanka. After completing my school studies from St Anne's College, Kurunegala, Sri Lanka, I entered University of Peradeniya Sri Lanka as an internal student.
